My Random Thoughts

Legend of the Guardian-King

Betrayed by his own brother, Abramm Kalladorne, next in line to rule Kiriath, is sold into slavery and shipped to Kiriath's most threatening enemy. There he ends up a warrior in the their Games and nicknamed the White Pretender. Abramm's talent in the Games becomes well known through the barbaric land. When he escapes later on, fear overcomes the enemies army. Throughout the book Abramm is attacked from all sides by the Shadowspawn that corrupts the land. Abramm learns, through many trials and torments, that, no matter what happens, Eidon knows whats best for him and that in every trial Eidon will be there to help him get through it.

I personally loved this book. It encouraged me to continue on in my own hardships; that there will be a break in the storm some time I just don't see it yet. There were a few kisses and in the first book, Abramm sleeps with a Chesedhen woman but nothing is detailed. I would like to point out though that it is quit detailed concerning violence. I would definitely recommend this series, but the violence may be too much for kids 13 and under. (Kind of depends on what that kid is used to reading though.)
